Karp says AI “currently under development”
It was early 2023. The AI craze was in the early stages, and Alex Karp knew it was poised for takeoff. With that came the bold announcement of an AI tool at Palantir that was currently under development.
The engineers within the firm didn’t know how to react. There was no AI tool being developed, except for the one within Karp’s own mind.
But that was enough.
He had enough faith in his team at Palantir that he was willing to bet everything on the development of their AI. Everything that he had worked so hard to build, their reputation, put at stake.
And deliver they did.
